Sunday Teaching Recap!

Robbie's Teaching was about communicating with God.

We ask God for specific situations and the answers are not going to fall out of the sky.

God says he's not going to answer the specific things until your willing to do the basics.

The basics
1. Spending time in prayer
2. Reading your bible
3. Don't skip church

If you do these things God will have a reason to tell you the specific things you want.

If you spend time with God you won't have to ask what he wants because you know what he wants.

It even says it in the bible

Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 3:6

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Matthew 6:33

Recap of Sunday Teaching by Jared Kirk

You can believe God has a plan for your life but that's not faith. High school students are of the few ages that can see belief and the lack of faith.
The righteous should live by faith. Are you living by faith or just believing in God ,but never putting your life in His hands.

2 Applications to grow your faith.

1. Practical bible teaching. (Reading the bible and applying it to your everyday life.) If you don't apply the reading you might as well not have read.

2. Surround yourself with people full of faith.
Don't surround yourself with unfaithful people because then its like the blind leading the blind.

Have faith.

All Nighter 2011!!!

It’s an entire night of fun! Drop-off is at 9:30pm on Friday, May 13th and pick-up is on Saturday, May 14th at 6:00am sharp! We’ll be going to the Sports Connection in Ballantyne to play games and lasertag, there will be a mind-blowing worship service, and we will be doing a digital scavenger hunt (make sure to bring a digital camera if you have one). We’ll finish it all off with breakfast back at the student center. This is repeatedly the biggest event we do all year, so make sure you don’t miss out on this once-a-year opportunity! We purposefully structure it so that your friends who don’t normally go to church will have a great time, too.

Who: The all-nighter is open to students grades 6-12 and as many friends as they can possibly bring.

Where: Pick-up and drop-off is at Next Level Church. We will also be spending time at The Sports Connection and on a digital scavenger hunt. All transportation drivers will be youth ministry volunteers (adults) or hand-picked parents.

How Much: The cost of the event is $25 per student which includes all the activities, transportation, breakfast, and a t-shirt for the first 50 students who sign-in. Cash and check to Next Level Church are accepted.
