God's Chisel

This was one of the most powerful videos we watched while at SummerCampX. In case you missed it, take a quick look, and ask yourself the question, "Am I allowing God to chisel on me?"

Homeless for a Night Info

Ok so here's the deal.
You show up at NLC at 8pm, March 26th. You bring $2 and enough cardboard and tape to build a shelter. You can also bring a sleeping bag. We'll play games, eat s'mores, build our shelters, worship together, learn about homelessness in Charlotte, pray for the homeless in Charlotte, and spend the night in our shelters. It will be a ton of fun. It will also expand your view of the world, and your understanding of God's love. Parents are invited. Sibling are invited (if parents are coming). It will all be over Saturday morning at 8:30am.

Here is the registration form.

Ok. that link isn't working so I'll have it soon...

Summer Camp SignUp Packet

Hello Students and Parents! Today I bring you-thanks to the magic of Google Docs-the information page and sign-up packet for Summercamp 2010. For those of you who procrastinate, I'll go ahead and tell you on this page that the deadline to sign-up for camp at the $159 rate is March 28th. After that the cost goes up to $179.

Click here to view a pdf file of the info page.

Click here to view a .doc file of the registration and medical release forms.
ok so there are definitely formatting problems with the above file, but it should get the job done. I'm working on it.

WinterCamp Recap

WinterCamp X has now come and gone and it was truly an incredible experience. You all stepped up in such a huge way. So many leaders sacrificed so much time, energy, and sanity to help create an environment where young people could work on their relationship with God. And students, you honored their sacrifice big-time by disconnecting from the distractions in your life and connecting to God by worshipping his Son Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.

Just a couple of the coolest moments of camp for me:

- When we all gathered around Jacob Oyer to watch his impressions of everyone at camp. Jacob, that was brilliant.

- And to see so many of you truly engage in worship-some for the very first time-was fantastic. i couldn't have been prouder.

Make sure to hit up facebook to see all the videos produced at camp for free!

WinterCamp Fundraiser Update

Teresa put on a great bake sale, and I'd like to say thanks to all the parents and students who contributed to making it a great success. Each of the following students will get their bake sale money as $30 cash on the day we leave for camp.
Monika Carol
Haleigh Munao
Amy Boyland
Caleb Pearn
Ryan Kinney
Taylor and Jesse Couret
Maddie and Matt Chumas
Chris Kinney
Savannah Forbes
Christine Pena
When camp only costs $85, then all of the sudden $30 sounds pretty good!
Coming soon will be the post that is a recap of everything you need to bring (and not bring) and when to meet at the church, etc.
